Vivo is preparing to introduce the V30 series in India, featuring the anticipated vivo V30 and the yet-to-be-revealed vivo V30 Pro. While an exact launch date remains uncertain, local retailers have already initiated the promotion with “Coming Soon” displays in their stores. Notably, it seems that the V30 Lite won’t be part of the upcoming release.
Revealed just a few weeks ago, the V30 showcases the power of a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and a sophisticated camera setup featuring three 50MP lenses – dual rear cameras (main + ultra-wide) and a front camera (equipped with a wide 21mm lens and autofocus). With a 6.78-inch 120Hz 10-bit AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels, the device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery supporting rapid 80W wired-only charging.
While the vivo V30 Pro remains shrouded in secrecy, leaks have provided a glimpse into its specifications. The device is expected to be fueled by the Dimensity 8200, maintaining the same 6.78-inch display and 5,000mAh battery. Distinguishing itself, the Pro version will introduce a fourth 50MP camera to the ensemble, functioning as a telephoto lens (exact focal length yet to be revealed).
Taking it up a notch, the Pro version is set to become the first in the vivo V series to showcase Zeiss lenses, a premium feature usually found in more expensive product ranges. Leaked details indicate that the Pro variant will introduce Zeiss Style Portrait modes, including Cine-flare, Cinematic, Biotar, Planar, Distagon, and Sonnar. Furthermore, Zeiss video modes such as Zeiss Natural Color and Cinematic Video Bokeh will enhance the device’s imaging capabilities.
While the specific launch date for India is still pending, the company has officially stated that the V30 and V30 Pro will be unveiled in Thailand on February 28. The fact that posters are already being displayed in Indian stores suggests that the local launch is just around the corner.
